Man Arrested After Vehicle Ramming, Knife Threat in Hillsboro

On July 30 at about 3:00 p.m., Hillsboro police responded after a vehicle allegedly intentionally rammed another and the suspect threatened the victim with a knife. Officers located the suspect vehicle at a Bog Road residence; the 78-year-old Kenneth R. Coffin was taken into custody without incident and charged with reckless conduct (deadly weapon), attempted second-degree assault (deadly weapon), criminal threatening and conduct after an accident. He was ordered held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections pending court; Bog Road near Melody Lane was briefly closed while Antrim and Henniker police and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
