Man charged with strangulation and simple assault after East Donegal domestic disturbance

On June 30, 2026, at about 10:45 p.m., Susquehanna Regional Police responded to a domestic disturbance at 886 Drager Road in East Donegal Township (Columbia, PA). Officers allege 35-year-old Daniel E. Hrischuk strangled and assaulted a female victim; he was charged with Strangulation (18 §2718(A)(1)) and Simple Assault (18 §2702(A)(1)). All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
