Man dies after medical episode while being handcuffed, NJ AG says
Police were called after a family member reportedly threatened to return with a firearm; the 61-year-old later suffered a medical episode while being handcuffed, officials said.
Police are investigating the death of a 61-year-old man who died after suffering a medical episode while being handcuffed by police, the Attorney General’s Office announced Friday.
Steven Fitzpatrick, of Pittstown, died following his encounter with three law enforcement officials, according to a news release.
