Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash Near Coopersburg
A 44-year-old Berks County man died after a motorcycle collided with another vehicle Sunday in Lower Milford Township; authorities say he was not wearing a helmet.
A Berks County man was killed in a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle near Coopersburg Sunday afternoon, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s office.
Coroner Dan Buglio identified 44-year-old Michael A. Silvers of Hereford as the motorcycle operator who was fatally injured in the crash.
Buglio said it happened at approximately 12:49 p.m. at the intersection of Beverly Hills Road and Sheridan Road in Lower Milford Township, about two miles west of Coopersburg borough.
Buglio determined that Silvers, who was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:47 p.m., died from blunt force trauma to the head. He ruled his death an accident.
The coroner’s news release noted that Silvers “was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.”
In addition to the coroner’s office, Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville are investigating the accident.
