Update at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7: Additional roadways are in the final stages of being reopened, down from yesterday’s 32 closures; a full count will be posted in the evening update. Several intersections in Manheim Township have nonfunctioning or dark traffic signals — Fruitville Pike at Petersburg Road; Fruitville Pike at Buch Avenue; Oregon Pike at jake Landis Road; Oregon Pike at East Roseville Road; Oregon Pike at Butler Avenue; Oregon Pike at Chester Road (On Flash); Harrisburg Pike at Crossings Boulevard — and per the PA Vehicle Code these should be treated as four-way stops. Township public works and fire rescue are assisting with damage assessment and cleanup while PPL and other utilities (with over 2,000 additional personnel deployed) continue repairs; PPL reports 95% of outages expected repaired by Tuesday 11:00 p.m. and 100% by Wednesday 11:00 p.m. The municipal office and Overlook facilities remain closed for Tuesday, Skyline Pool is open only for programs and a swim meet, the library is open with device charging, Wi‑Fi and air-conditioned space, the Compost Park is open free to residents through July 12 for storm debris, and Calvary Church is offering charging and cooling space July 7–8. Safety reminders: assume downed wires are energized and do not pass barricades or drive onto private property to bypass debris.
