Mauricio Landeros-Garcia charged with DUI after Kennett Square traffic stop; bench warrant issued
Stopped for illegal window tint, a 20-year-old was arrested on DUI and related charges; a bench warrant was issued after he missed his preliminary hearing.
On May 31, 2026, at about 10:49 PM in the 500 block of W. State Street in Kennett Square Borough, officers stopped a 2009 Honda for aftermarket window tint on all side and rear windows. Mauricio Landeros-Garcia, 20, of Avondale (Kennett Square, PA 19348), displayed signs of intoxication, failed field sobriety tests, and recorded a 0.122% BAC on a breath test. Charges were filed in District Court 15-3-04—including DUI (PAVC 3802(a)(1)), minor possession/consumption of alcohol, unlicensed driving and improper sunscreening—and after Landeros-Garcia missed his July 15, 2026 preliminary hearing a bench warrant was issued.
