McNeely’s textbook goal lifts Parkland past Emmaus, 2-1
Junior Mackenzie McNeely completed a practiced play with 29:08 left to give Parkland a 2-1 District 11 Class 4A semifinal win over Emmaus at J. Birney Crum Stadium.
What proved to be Parkland High School’s winning goal in the second half of a 2-1 victory over Emmaus in the District 11 Class 4A girls soccer semifinals was textbook perfect.
“We’ve been practicing that for so long at practice, so to see it actually work during the game was amazing,” said Parkland junior Mackenzie McNeely, who was the initiator and finisher of the beautiful goal with 29:08 remaining in regulation Tuesday night at Andre Reed Field at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown.
