Michael W. McHale Jr. charged with strangulation, simple assault in Lititz Borough
Lititz Borough police say a 34-year-old man wrapped his arm around a woman's neck during a verbal altercation; he was arrested and faces felony and misdemeanor charges.
Lititz Borough police arrested Michael William McHale Jr., 34, of Wernersville after responding to an assault in progress at Church Square on Sept. 13, 2026, at about 1:30 a.m. A female victim reported McHale wrapped his arm around her neck, removed her glasses and threw her to the ground; officers observed red marks on her neck and abrasions on her arm and knee. McHale was transported to Lancaster County Central Booking for immediate preliminary arraignment; a preliminary hearing has been scheduled. He is presumed innocent.
