Miguel Ortiz Boyd Arrested in North Charleston Homicide

North Charleston Police detectives say 18-year-old Miguel Ortiz Boyd surrendered Wednesday morning and was arrested in connection with an overnight homicide at Spivey's Mobile Home Park on Stall Road. Officers responded to a reported shooting at about 12:57 a.m., found an adult male with a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene, and within hours a suspect was in custody. Boyd is charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime; the investigation remains active and authorities ask anyone with information to contact them via the CRIMEWATCH app.
