Mill Hall police seek Williamsport man on felony warrant in child-sex case

Mill Hall Police are holding a felony warrant for John Mitchell Poorman Jr. of Williamsport after a criminal investigation that began Aug. 25, 2026. Poorman was charged with attempted rape of a child (felony), two counts of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of a child, attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a child under 16, corruption of minors, and endangering the welfare of a child; charges were filed in district court 25-03-02. Lycoming County court records show Poorman was arrested on similar charges by Williamsport Police in May 2026 and was released the same day on unsecured bail by a Lycoming County district court.
