Miss Manners: Friends won’t stop bragging about bargain shopping
A reader asks whether it's as rude to boast about saving money as it is to brag about spending it, after friends repeatedly talk up their discount, off-brand and secondhand purchases.
DEAR MISS MANNERS: I have some friends who frequently announce to me how much money they are saving by shopping at discount stores, buying off-brand items and buying all of their clothing, including shoes, at secondhand and thrift stores.
