A Morrisville man convicted in May for shooting a man during an October 2025 dispute was sentenced to 17½ to 40 years in state prison and ordered to serve 10 years of probation consecutively.
Kevin Donte Watts, 43, was sentenced to 17½ to 40 years in state prison after a jury in May convicted him of attempted murder and multiple weapons and assault charges for a shooting during a dispute on October 11, 2025. Investigators say Watts, a passenger at Orchard View Apartments, shot the victim in the chest with a stolen .40-caliber pistol equipped with a green laser and hollow-point rounds; the victim was hospitalized in Trenton, New Jersey. Common Pleas Judge Wallace H. Bateman Jr. imposed the prison term and a consecutive 10-year probation term; Bucks County detectives, Morrisville police, District Attorney Joe Khan and Deputy DA Chad Kovack were credited for the investigation and prosecution.
