Multi-Agency Resource Center to Help Lancaster County Storm Victims on Aug. 26
One-stop resource center offering insurance guidance, fraud-avoidance tips, benefits and recovery support for residents and businesses affected by the Aug. 20 storms.
A Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will open Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Columbia Borough Fire Department, 726 Manor St., Columbia, to assist individuals, families and business owners impacted by the severe storms of Aug. 20. County and state agencies — including the PA Department of Human Services, PA Emergency Management Agency and PA Insurance Department — plus volunteer organizations will provide information on insurance, avoiding fraud, benefits and recovery resources. Residents and business owners with storm damage are urged to report it via the online damage survey or in person at the MARC; those with unmet, non-emergency needs can contact PA211 (dial 2-1-1, text 898-211, or chat at pa211.org).
