National Archives bringing founding documents to cities for America 250
Events in Washington, D.C., will mark the nation's 250th anniversary on July 4, and the National Archives is taking founding documents on the road so more people can see them locally.
Multiple events are being held in the nation’s capital on July 4 to celebrate the United States' 250th anniversary. Because not everyone can travel to Washington to view the founding documents on display there, the National Archives is bringing those documents to cities nationwide so more communities can see them.
