Natural Dye: Yellows Workshop
Begin with sustainably harvesting native goldenrod at the East 40, then dye fabrics to bright yellow—fabrics may be left in the dye pots overnight to maximize color.
Goldenrod is a native plant that grows abundantly at the East 40, and the workshop will begin on Friday with sustainably harvesting goldenrod. Goldenrod yields a bright, often light yellow; fabrics can be left in the dye pots overnight to soak up the maximum amount of color. The event is listed as a Bethlehem community event and is open to current and future students, faculty & staff, and the wider community.
