Nether Providence Family Fun Day Draws Crowd to NPPD Booth

The Nether Providence Police Department was a featured attraction at the township’s Family Fun Day in Strath Haven Middle School’s upper parking lot, where Chief David Splain, Sgt. Matt Liss, Detectives James Irey and Steve Kilian, Traffic Safety Officer Kevin Smith and Officer James Williams greeted attendees for three hours (Sgt. Michael Worrell made a cameo). The NPPD booth offered fidget toys, bubble wands, temporary tattoos, cardstock police hats, sticky wall climbers and candy, and displayed marked cruisers and a Polaris off‑road vehicle. Chief Splain praised the event’s community spirit as residents enjoyed food, music, games, vendors, pony rides, pumpkin decorating and Mamadou Diallo’s ice cream truck.
