Nether Providence Swears In Officer James Williams
Officer James Williams was sworn into the Nether Providence patrol division during the Board of Commissioners’ regular meeting, with his wife Mary holding the Bible as Commissioner Max Cooper administered the oath.
Police Chief David Splain and Commissioner Max Cooper welcomed Officer James Williams at the Board of Commissioners’ meeting as his wife Mary held the Bible for the oath. Williams, 30, began his law enforcement career in June 2017 as a part-time officer with Sharon Hill and also served part-time with Tinicum Township before becoming a full-time officer in Sharon Hill about six years ago. A Ridley Township resident, he graduated from Academy Park High School (2014) and the Delaware County Police Academy (2017); his parents Jim and Patty Williams attended the ceremony.
