New $88M Hawk Falls Bridge opens on Pennsylvania Turnpike in Carbon County
The replacement on the Northeast Extension (I-476) adds wider shoulders and modern safety features on a span carrying more than 24,000 vehicles daily through Hickory Run State Park.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission opened the new Hawk Falls Bridge in Carbon County on Tuesday, completing an $88-million replacement project aimed at improving safety and traffic flow on one of the state’s busiest corridors.
