NLCRPD honors NYCRPD officers killed Sept. 17, 2025
NLCRPD marks the nearly one-year anniversary of the ambush that killed three NYCRPD detectives and honors their service and sacrifice.
Nearly one year after an ambush on September 17, 2025, that killed Detective Sergeant Cody Becker, Detective Mark Baker and Detective Isiah Emenheiser, the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department stands with NYCRPD officers and the families as they mark the anniversary. NLCRPD recalled its roots in NYCRPD—hiring its first chief, Dave Steffen, in 2011 and modeling its uniforms, policies and practices after NYCRPD—and keeps photos of the three detectives in its radio room as a daily reminder of their loss and service.
