Nearly one year after an ambush that killed three NYCRPD detectives, Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department honors their memory and stands with their families and colleagues.
Nearly one year after the ambush on September 17, 2025 that took the lives of Detective Sergeant Cody Becker, Detective Mark Baker and Detective Isiah Emenheiser, the NLCRPD marked the anniversary by expressing solidarity with NYCRPD and the families of the fallen. The post notes NLCRPD’s historical roots in NYCRPD—dating to 2011 when its first chief, Dave Steffen, was hired from NYCRPD—and says the three detectives are remembered daily, with their photos now displayed in NLCRPD’s radio room.
