North Carolina man charged in alleged DoorDash Cash App scam in Vandergrift

Scott Olson of Pikeville, North Carolina, faces charges after investigators say a DoorDash delivery driver was persuaded to transfer nearly $300 to a Cash App account tied to Olson. The victim received a call she believed was from DoorDash instructing her to move funds from her DoorDash balance and personal checking account; records and the phone number used were later associated with Olson. Olson is charged with unlawful use of a computer and computer crimes, access device fraud, theft and impersonating a public servant; all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
