North Charleston man arrested after knifepoint robbery at Cricket Wireless
North Charleston police say a 53-year-old man held the Cricket Wireless at knifepoint, stole about $200 and was tracked and arrested after a K-9 search and a warrant uncovered evidence linking him to the crime.
Around 11:30 a.m. police responded to an armed robbery at the Cricket Wireless in Evanston Shopping Plaza where a male suspect brandished a large knife and stole about $200. Officers used surveillance imagery and a police K-9 to track the suspect into the Glynn Terrace area and to a residence on Olivia Drive, where 53-year-old Carlton Lamont Pringle was detained. A search warrant turned up evidence linking Pringle to the robbery; he faces charges of Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Possession of Methamphetamine.
