North Charleston Police arrested 35-year-old Brittany Leigh Rodriguez on July 23 after officers patrolling near Dunlap Street and Stafford Road encountered her and say she admitted to drug use. A search allegedly yielded about 0.3 grams of a pink powder packaged in a plastic bag and about 0.2 grams of an off‑white, rock‑like substance recovered from her bra; both substances field‑tested presumptive positive for cocaine and fentanyl. Rodriguez was charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl (including within one‑half mile of a public park), possession of cocaine (third or subsequent offense), and possession of cocaine base (third or subsequent offense), and was transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
