October Is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
A reminder to recognize the signs of abuse, support survivors, and share resources throughout October and beyond.
Domestic violence affects people of every age, gender, race and background and includes physical, emotional, verbal, psychological, financial and technological abuse as well as controlling behaviors. The community is urged to learn warning signs, support survivors without judgment, share resources, speak up against abuse and wear purple to show support.
