Officer James Williams Sworn In to Nether Providence Police
Officer James Williams was sworn in during the Board of Commissioners’ meeting and welcomed to the patrol division by Chief David Splain.
Officer James Williams, 30, was sworn in to the Nether Providence Township Police Department during the Board of Commissioners’ regular meeting, with his wife Mary holding the Bible and Commissioner Max Cooper administering the oath. Chief David Splain noted Williams’ law enforcement experience — he began part-time in June 2017 with Sharon Hill, also served part-time in Tinicum Township, became a full-time Sharon Hill officer about six years ago, and is a Ridley Township resident and graduate of Academy Park High School (2014) and the Delaware County Police Academy (2017); his parents Jim and Patty Williams attended the ceremony.
