On June 30, 2026, East Lampeter Township presented Officer Nicholas Zollner with a Life Saving Award for his actions on June 2. At 2:56 p.m. Zollner responded to a cardiac arrest at the intersection of Strasburg Pike and Lincoln Highway East, used an AED that delivered a shock, and assisted until EMS took over. The patient, 46-year-old Matthew Scott Brandt, survived, spent several days in the hospital, and returned home to his family.
