Officers Demonstrate Fatal Vision Goggles at Verizon Backpack Giveaway

Corporal Martine and Officer Murray joined the Westfall Fire Department and Westfall Ambulance at the Verizon Wireless Backpack Giveaway event to provide an impaired-driving awareness demonstration. Using Fatal Vision Goggles that simulate the effects of alcohol, drugs and distracted driving, children tried a duck hunt game to experience how impairment affects coordination, vision, reaction time and decision-making. The interactive activity aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving and promote safer choices.
