One man injured in New Kensington shooting; suspect at large

New Kensington Police responded to a reported shooting at about 9:15 p.m. on July 7, 2026, on the 1100 block of Fifth Avenue after a 35-year-old man was shot and taken by a personal vehicle to a local hospital. The victim is stable and remains hospitalized. Investigators recovered evidence near the Valley Royal Court Apartments and described the suspect as a Black male, about 6-foot-1, 220–230 pounds, with dreadlocks and glasses; anyone with information is asked to call 724-339-7533 or email [email protected].
