Operation Safe Driver Week — July 12–18

From July 12–18, law enforcement personnel across North America will monitor commercial motor vehicle and passenger vehicle drivers for high-risk behaviors such as speeding, distracted driving, following too closely, improper lane changes, failure to use a seat belt, impaired or fatigued driving, and failure to obey traffic control devices. Drivers operating unsafely may receive warnings or citations; the effort is part of the CVSA’s year-round Operation Safe Driver Program, which aims to prevent crashes through driver education, targeted enforcement and industry outreach.
