Overnight vehicle thefts in Nether Providence — police urge residents to lock cars

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred overnight throughout Nether Providence Township. Officers recovered a stolen vehicle and responded to the theft of another vehicle that was stolen from the township, with incidents concentrated around the 7th Ward and suspicious activity reported in the 4th Ward. Police are increasing residential patrols and urge residents to lock vehicle doors, never leave keys or valuables inside, install lighting or cameras, and call 911 to report suspicious activity.
