PA State Police step up traffic enforcement over Independence Day weekend
Troopers from Troop A will increase patrols July 3–5 to reduce crashes and keep roadways safe; motorists are urged to buckle up and check 511PA before travel.
Pennsylvania State Police Troop A said in a June 30, 2026 press release that troopers will be out in force from Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5 to watch for distracted, aggressive and intoxicated motorists. Motorists are reminded to buckle up and use 511PA for 24/7 traffic and weather information to assist travel plans.
