Pa. Supreme Court: Mandatory life sentences for felony murder are ‘cruel’ punishment
The court found that mandatory life sentences without the possibility of parole for felony murder constitute cruel punishment, a ruling that could affect more than 1,000 people serving life terms in Pennsylvania.
