Parkesburg PD to Provide SROs for Octorara Area Schools in 2026–27
Parkesburg Police Department will place School Resource Officers on Octorara Area School District campuses to enhance student and staff safety.
The Parkesburg Police Department has partnered with the Octorara Area School District to provide School Resource Officers beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. The SROs will be assigned to campus during normal school hours to focus on the safety and security of students and staff, foster positive relationships with youth, and have completed specialized training to address student needs. Board members, district administration and the Parkesburg Borough Council were commended for prioritizing school safety.
