Parkesburg Police to Provide SROs for Octorara Area School District
Parkesburg Police Department will provide School Resource Officers to the Octorara Area School District beginning with the 2026–2027 school year to support campus safety and student–officer relationships.
The Parkesburg Police Department has entered a partnership with the Octorara Area School District to supply School Resource Officers beginning at the start of the 2026–2027 school year. Assigned during normal school hours, the uniformed SROs will focus on the safety and security of students and staff, bring specialized training to meet student needs, and help foster positive relationships between youth and law enforcement. The district board, administration, and Parkesburg Borough Council were praised for prioritizing school safety.
