Part of Pennsylvania placed under a freeze watch Monday — temperatures as low as 29
The National Weather Service issued a freeze watch Saturday at 12:56 p.m. valid for Monday between midnight and 9 a.m., covering several ridges and counties across western and northwestern Pennsylvania.
On Saturday at 12:56 p.m. a freeze watch was released by the National Weather Service valid for Monday between midnight and 9 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Armstrong and Indiana counties.
"Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees possible," says the weather service. "Another higher threat for sub-freezing temperatures is expected Monday night with additional headlines very likely."
