On Sept. 30, 2026 at about 11:20 a.m., a pedestrian crossing the crosswalk at South Cedar Street and Front Street in Lititz Borough was struck by a Chevy Impala after the driver failed to see them. The pedestrian jumped onto the vehicle’s hood to avoid further impact, was injured, and was transported to a hospital for treatment; the driver was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
