Pennsylvania gaming revenue rises 14.6% in February
Combined gaming revenue in Pennsylvania reached $547,103,943 in February 2026, generating $236,018,507 in tax revenue, the PGCB reported.
Pennsylvania’s gaming revenue saw a signifiant rise in February.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming including fantasy contests during February 2026 was $547,103,943, 14.6% above revenue generated in February 2025. The resulting tax revenue during February of this year was $236,018,507.
Types of gaming regulated by the agency are slot machines and table games in casinos, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals (“VGTs”).
Revenue from the play of retail slot machines in February was $192,085,556, a 3.12% increase in revenue over the $186,277,450 generated a year ago at this time. The number of slot machines in operation in February 2026 was 24,303 less than the 24,404 at the casinos in February 2025. Tax revenue from the play of slot machines in February 2026 was $97,041,691.
February’s retail table games revenue was $72,647,914, an increase of 2.09% over last February’s revenue of $71,158,976. Total tax revenue from table games play during February 2026 was $12,320,601.
Casino games offered online generated a record amount of monthly gross revenue totaling $239,922,058 during February 2026. Compared to revenue of $207,636,713 in February 2025, this represents an increase of 15.55%. Tax revenue generated from iGaming during February 2026 was $111,149,880.
The month’s total sports wagering handle was $592,462,454, which was 21.73% below the February 2025 handle of $756,926,216. The taxable revenue figure for February 2026 was $37,844,313, which was 405.59% higher when compared to February 2025, when taxable revenue was $7,485,177. Tax revenue generated from sports wagering during February 2026 was $13,623,953.
February 2026 total adjusted revenue for VGTs was $3,220,992 or 0.77% higher than February 2025 revenue of $3,196,360. According to a release, by the end of February 2026, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at each of the 76 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at each of the 74 establishments at this time last year. Tax revenue collected from the play of VGTs in February 2026 was $1,674,916.
Fantasy contests revenue in February 2026 was $1,383,109, a decrease of 7.54% from February 2025, when revenue was $1,495,955. Tax revenue collected from the play of Fantasy Contests in February 2026 was $207,466.
The PGCB oversees all aspects of gambling involving 17 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and VGTs at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests.
The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and four mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming returned $2.98 billion in tax revenue and fees to Pennsylvanians in 2026.
