Pike man sentenced for possession of child sexual abuse material
A Dingman Township man pleaded guilty and received 8–23 months behind bars, a $1,000 fine and 15 years of sex-offender registration after authorities found child sexual abuse images on his device during a hiring background check.
Pike County prosecutors say 41-year-old Adam Rufrano of Dingman Township pleaded guilty to a third-degree felony for possessing child sexual abuse material. President Judge Gregory H. Chelak sentenced him to 8 to 23 months in the Pike County Correctional Facility, fined him $1,000 and ordered 15 years of registration under Pennsylvania’s Megan’s Law. Detectives, with help from the Port Jervis Police Department during a dispatcher hiring background check, found images on an electronic device and Rufrano admitted to viewing websites that he said sometimes included “barely legal” or younger material.
