Patrick Veasey, 46, of Westfall Township pleaded guilty to possession of sexual abuse of children and was sentenced by Pike County President Judge Gregory H. Chelak to not less than 30 months and up to 78 months in a state correctional facility, plus a $1,000 fine. Detectives were alerted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that material had been uploaded from an internet account; a search warrant and assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police Computer Crime Unit uncovered child sexual abuse images on an electronic device. Veasey had been held at the Pike County correctional facility and will be transferred to a state facility to begin serving his sentence.
