Pittsburgh man arrested after large fentanyl seizure in Avonmore
State police seized about 118 bricks (roughly 5,900 stamp bags) of suspected fentanyl after executing a search warrant on an Avonmore residence.
On Sept. 16, 2026, Pennsylvania State Police vice narcotics officers executed a search warrant on a residence on Indiana Avenue in Avonmore and detained four people, including 34-year-old Antoine Barrow of Pittsburgh. Troopers say they recovered approximately 118 bricks (about 5,900 stamp bags) of suspected fentanyl thrown from a second-story window, and that Barrow attempted to flush 15 bricks down a toilet; a bookbag with more than $10,000 in cash was also seized. Barrow allegedly admitted to being the source of the fentanyl, faces multiple narcotics-related charges, and was denied bail; these are accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
