Police Seek Help Identifying Two Men Seen Lurking in Springtown
Springfield Township Police released a grainy photo and asked residents to check surveillance and children’s location services after two hooded men were seen entering unlocked vehicles and trying to enter sheds and garages late Sunday night into Monday morning.
Springfield Township Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two people who were allegedly seen “lurking” around residential neighborhoods on the south side of Springtown Sunday night.
In a post to the department’s Crimewatch feed, police said the individuals appear to be two younger, slender men who were wearing hoodies.
Between 1:45 and 2:45 a.m. Monday, the pair was “caught on multiple surveillance cameras entering unlocked vehicles and attempting to enter sheds/garages,” authorities said. “No vehicles were noticed on any cameras, therefore they either parked somewhere else and walked in or (they) were on foot the whole time.”
Police asked local parents to “check their older children’s location services, talk with them about who may be a suspect for walking around the area during that time frame and certainly call the Springfield Township PD if anyone hears or suspects anyone in the area.”
“Any information is good information,” police added, “so don’t hesitate to call and report your thoughts.”
They also requested that Springtown area homeowners with surveillance systems review them for possible footage of the suspects and share anything suspicious with the department.
Police shared an image that shows the two suspects standing behind shrubbery, which is too grainy for them to be identifiable.
