Police seek information after fatal stabbing in Columbia
Authorities are investigating an early-morning stabbing that left a 26-year-old man dead and are asking witnesses to come forward.
Columbia Borough police found 26-year-old Anthony Stoy-Velazquez of Marietta shortly before 1 a.m. in the eastbound lane of the 200 block of Linden Street with an apparent stab wound to the chest; officers and EMS attempted life-saving measures but were unable to save him. Investigators have processed the scene, are interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage, and ask anyone with information — including Stoy-Velazquez’s whereabouts prior to his death — to call the Columbia Borough Police Department at 717-684-7735; the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has not yet determined cause or manner of death.
