Police warn of jury-duty/warrant phone scam

Lower Southampton Township Police warn of an uptick in calls where scammers falsely claim callers missed jury duty or face arrest and pressure them to pay immediately using gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or other unconventional methods. Legitimate courts and law enforcement will never demand immediate payment or request payment by these methods; victims should hang up and verify by contacting the Lower Southampton Township Police Department or the Bucks County Radio Room. Residents are urged to share the alert to help protect family, friends and neighbors.
