Prof. Ingabire Abayo receives $200,000 NSF grant
Assistant Professor Nancy Ingabire Abayo won a $200,000 NSF Engineering Research Initiation grant to study how anisotropy from subsurface depositional geometry affects shear response in fluvial deposits.
Nancy Ingabire Abayo, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, has secured a $200,000 National Science Foundation (NSF) Engineering Research Initiation grant for her project “Effects of anisotropy induced by subsurface depositional geometry on shear response of fluvial deposits.” This funding caps a standout year of national and international conference recognitions for her research contributions to the field.
