Free virtual workshop for older adults, caregivers and family members offering practical tips to spot online scams, protect personal and financial information, and report fraud.
The Pennsylvania Office of Homeland Security, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, is hosting a free virtual workshop titled “Protecting Seniors Online: Think Before You Click” on Wednesday, September 9, 1–4 PM. Speakers include Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday, David Shallcross of the Senior Protection Unit, Mary Bach of AARP PA, Rick Cimakasky (PA Bankers Association/Penn Community Bank and former FBI special agent), and representatives from the Pennsylvania State Police; the session will cover recognizing online threats, safeguarding information, and steps to take if fraud occurs.
