On October 9, 2026, at about 3:10 a.m., Hillsboro officers attempted to stop a vehicle leaving Cumberland Farms; the driver refused, fled at high speed into Antrim, then turned off headlights and later accelerated toward officers before losing control and rolling off an embankment. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Christopher Johnson of Sharon, NH, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and a passenger suffered minor injuries; Johnson — who was out on bail from an October 1 Rhode Island arrest — faces numerous felony and misdemeanor charges filed by both Hillsboro and Antrim police and is scheduled for arraignment October 9 at 2:00 p.m.
