Ray Edward Coast Charged With Conspiracy to Retaliate and Additional Child Pornography Counts
Additional child pornography and conspiracy-to-retaliate charges were filed March 20 against Ray Edward Coast, who remains held on $3 million in earlier sex-crime cases.
District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer says Ray Edward Coast was charged March 20 with two counts of conspiracy to retaliate against a victim, criminal use of a communication facility, four counts of photographing/filming sexual abuse of children, and five counts of sexual abuse of children (child pornography). The complaint alleges Coast conspired with Peter Ross to contact a victim’s employer and post anonymous material to discredit the victim, and that Coast videotaped himself engaging in sexual acts with a minor boy and possessed images of two boys appearing 8 to 10 years old. Coast was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge William Todd, who set bail in this case at $150,000; he remains incarcerated on $3 million bail in separate, earlier cases. All persons charged are presumed innocent.
