Reading man charged after officers find loaded gun, drug paraphernalia in Clay Township

Northern Lancaster County Regional Police say a loaded handgun and drug paraphernalia were found during a pat-down of a man sleeping in a parked vehicle on July 8.

On July 8, 2026 at about 8:49 p.m., Northern Lancaster County Regional Police responded to 70 Clay School Road in Clay Township for a suspicious-activity call and found a parked vehicle with a man sleeping inside. The male, identified as 32-year-old Jasill Malik Williams of Reading, was patted down and officers located a loaded firearm he was not permitted to carry and drug paraphernalia. Williams was charged with Firearms Carried Without a License (18-6106(A)(1), F3) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (35-780-113(A)(32), M); the charges are before MDJ Landis and listed under case 86-26-05397.
