Reading man charged with DUI and marijuana possession after SR0222 stop
Police say a 35-year-old Reading man was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, plus two summary traffic violations after a stop on SR0222.
Jhoan Garcia, 35, of Reading, was stopped on SR0222 northbound at mile marker 45 and charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two summary traffic violations. Officers determined he was impaired and a blood test indicated THC; a search incident to arrest uncovered a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Garcia was issued a summons to appear in District Court; the incident was handled by the East Cocalico Township Police Department.
