Rebecca Bennett, a politically moderate former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot and mom of two, on Tuesday won the Democratic nomination in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District and will take on Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Kean Jr. in what is expected to be the state’s hottest race this fall.
